Compliance Officer
Askari Compliance Services is a Financial Services Board Approved compliance practice. We have been appointed as compliance officer to a number of clients which include asset managers and independent financial advisors. We charge a monthly retainer fee for fulfilling the role of compliance officer. As your compliance officer we offer you the full spectrum of our services mentioned on this page together with the ongoing compliance monitoring and reporting function which is required by the Financial Services Board.
Preparation and submission of applications for approval
We prepare and submit applications for approval to the Financial Services Board and Council for Medical Schemes, this includes new licence applications and profile changes. Melanie Lee, a former employee at the Financial Services Board FAIS department, is responsible for this function and we have a very high success rate.
Compliance systems design and implementation
Askari Compliance Services specialises in the design and implementation of bespoke compliance systems and procedures for our clients. This can range from systems suitable for SMME's to systems which are suitable for large corporate entities. Projects already completed include the ground up design of systems and procedures for a well known asset manager.
On-call compliance consulting
For a small monthly fee (R360) we offer an on-call compliance consulting service to Financial Services Providers who do not require a full time compliance officer. This is a telephonic consultation service and the on-call line is at all time manned by an FSB approved, well qualified and experienced compliance officer. The monthly fee is deducted by debit order and there is no monthly limit on the number of telephonic consultations.
Business Continuity Planning
In line with the Financial Services Board, requirements we specialise in business continuity planning. All business continuity plans are done in accordance with international best practice. (BS 25999-1:2006 and BS 25999-2:2007)
